Insurance for musical instruments

Musical instrument insurance
Find out about our terms

Our policies are available to all persons whose country does not require them to take out a policy with an insurance company already in their place of residence.

Which musical instruments can be insured?

Our offer is to insure all musical instruments, regardless of their value, age, construction (amateur or professional) and mode of operation (electric or acoustic).
Audio equipment may be covered by different specific
insurance policies. Accessories, such as cases or stands, are also covered. Cases not declared in the policy are covered up to a limit of 300 euros per case, against total deterioration and theft with the insured instrument.
All instruments, regardless of their value, without any limitation, are insurable.

What is the value of my insurance?

When you take out your policy, you will need a certificate of value for your instrument if it is less than two years old. The value written on this document and established by a professional who knows the instrument will be used as a reference when compensating claims and calculating your premium. Instrument valuations are based on the day of subscription and not purchase value or replacement value when new.
We advise you to renew this certificate every five years.

What are the risks involved?

All accidental material damage is covered: fire, breakage, theft, loss, etc.
Theft cover is extremely extensive: theft without breaking and entering is covered, for example.
Transport insurance is included, but "theft in a private vehicle" is optional for instruments worth less than €15,000.
Damage due to climatic phenomena or atmospheric variations is covered subject to an excess of €120.

Which locations are covered?

Everywhere: at home, in conservatoires, at concert venues, in the street, etc.

Which countries are covered?

You have the choice of being covered in your home country only or worldwide.
To cover you in countries declared to be in a state of war, a specific extension is required at an additional premium for the duration of your trip.

How long does the contract last?

Policy contracts haves a duration of one year with tacit renewal, subject to two months' notice of termination.
Temporary policies are possible on request.

What about claims?

All repairs are reimbursed up to the value of the instrument stated in the policy contract. No excess is applied except for damage caused by natural disasters and climatic or atmospheric phenomena.
In the event of the disappearance or total destruction of the instrument, a claim may not exceed the value entered in the contract.
If, despite its restoration, the instrument suffers a loss of value, its depreciation shall be compensated
up to a maximum of 50% of the contracted value.
